About Us
Our Story
Two years ago, we made a decision to slow things down.
We moved out to the country in Midland, North Carolina to start building something with our hands — raising meat birds, tending bees, learning how to live a little closer to the land. Coffee wasn’t part of the original plan.
But over time, it became part of our rhythm.
What started as a personal pursuit turned into something we could share with our neighbors — fresh, flame-roasted coffee, made in small batches, right here on our homestead.
Moonbean Roastery isn’t a big brand. It’s a family operation.
When you pick up a bag, there’s a good chance you’ve driven past us, met us at a farm stand, or could text us and ask what we’re roasting this week.
That’s the way we think it should be.

Our Coffee
We source high-quality, single-origin beans and roast them in small batches to bring out their natural character — not to overcomplicate them.
Our Organic Peruvian beans are a great example:
smooth, balanced, with notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, and a subtle citrus brightness.
But more than tasting notes, what matters to us is this:
You know where your coffee came from.
You know who roasted it.
And you know it didn’t sit on a shelf for months before it got to you.
That’s what we’re building here — something fresh, simple, and real.
Where to Find Us
You won’t find us in big box stores.
You’ll find us where real life happens:
- McCoy’s Feed – Midland
- Red Barn Farm – Stanfield
- Bountiful Blessings on 601 – Monroe

- Barrier Farm Store – Mt. Pleasant
Or right here at our farm.
We like it that way.
